COVERINGS ETC was founded by designer and real estate visionary Ofer Mizrahi in 1998 as an innovative source for natural, recyclable and sustainable material concepts for floors, walls, countertops, facades, terraces and other decorative surfaces.

COVERINGS ETC is a member of the United States Green Building Council (USGBC), and is committed to seeking out interesting and exciting new environmentally friendly materials and solutions for projects adhering to sustainable design and bio--architecture. The ECOVERINGS® award-­winning collection is designed using naturally occurring and recyclable materials and/ or is manufactured with the concern for the environment and conservation of natural resources.

Over the last decade, COVERINGS ETC has built a trusted reputation in designing the top sustainable products on the market, and as a result received numerous awards including the Red Dot Design Award (2010, 2014); Architectural Products Magazine Product Innovation Award (2012); ICFF Editors Award (2009); the Glass Magazine Crystal Achievement Award for “Most Innovative Decorative Glass Product” (2014); and the Interior Innovation Award by German Design Council (2014). In 2011, the Bio-­-Glass®, Bio-­-Luminum®, and Eco-­-Cem® lines were featured in the Smithsonian's Cooper-­-Hewitt's National Design Triennial entitled Why Design Now?
